About Goldyears

Information That Helps People Move Forward

We organise what is publicly known about retirement in Thailand and present it clearly — so people can decide what to look into next without feeling overwhelmed.

Our Story

Started from a Simple Observation

Goldyears came together in Bangkok after a group of people with backgrounds in adult education and public administration noticed the same thing: many working adults in Thailand had very little opportunity to learn how the country's retirement structures actually worked — not in a theoretical sense, but in practical, day-to-day terms.

Most of what was available was either too technical for a general audience, or aimed at specialists. People routinely told us they had held on to documents for years without understanding what they recorded, or that they had attended meetings about their workplace pension without following what was being said.

From 2019 onwards, we began running small group sessions — first for personal acquaintances, then for colleagues of colleagues, and eventually for HR departments that wanted to improve how they communicated benefit information to their staff. The format that worked was calm, linear, and free of pressure. People listened better when they knew nothing would be sold to them.

Today, Goldyears offers three structured workshops covering system orientation, document organisation, and employer communication. We work across Bangkok and, for larger employer programmes, at clients' premises. Every session is purely educational. We refer participants to qualified professionals for any questions that go beyond what publicly available information can answer.

Our Mission

To make publicly available retirement information accessible to everyone — not just those who can afford specialist consultations — by presenting it clearly, honestly, and without pressure.

Our Approach

Sessions move at a pace participants are comfortable with. We never push conclusions or tell people what to decide — we organise the information and let people absorb it.

Our Values

Clarity, honesty, and patience. We believe people make better decisions when they understand their situation, and understanding takes time. We are not in a hurry.

Scope of Work

We present publicly available information only. Nothing in our sessions constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice. We recommend qualified professionals for those conversations.

How We Work

Our Standards and Protocols

Every Goldyears session is designed and delivered with the same careful attention to accuracy, participant comfort, and information scope.

Source Verification

All information referenced in sessions is drawn from publicly available Thai government publications and officially documented workplace benefit structures.

Participant Data Protection

Registration details are held for session administration purposes only. We do not share participant information with third parties and we do not retain it after six months.

Regular Content Review

Session materials are reviewed and updated at least twice a year to reflect any publicly announced changes to retirement-related regulations or documentation requirements in Thailand.

Post-Session Feedback

Every participant is invited to submit a written evaluation after the session. Feedback is used internally to improve clarity, pacing, and the usefulness of take-home materials.

No Sales Activity in Sessions

We do not allow product promotion, referral incentives, or introductions to financial service providers within any Goldyears session environment. Participants can learn without being redirected elsewhere.

Accessible Format

All printed and digital materials are produced in a clear, readable format with adequate text size and structure — designed to be navigable by participants of all reading levels.

Understanding Retirement Structures in Thailand

Thailand's retirement provision draws on several distinct components: the Social Security Fund for employees in the private sector, provident funds where offered by employers, the National Savings Fund for informal workers, and various government welfare allowances linked to age. Each of these operates under separate legislation and is administered by different bodies. For most working adults, the challenge is not that the information is unavailable — it is that it has rarely been presented in one place, in plain language, at an unhurried pace.

Goldyears sessions are structured to give participants a working map of how these components relate to each other. We use public reference materials — official documentation, government-published summaries, and workplace HR guides — as the foundation of every session. Nothing we present is interpreted or adapted to individual circumstances.

The document organisation side of our work addresses a different practical problem: many people have accumulated paperwork over many years of employment without a clear system for keeping it retrievable. Employment records, Social Security contribution statements, provident fund membership documents, and correspondence from employers are often stored haphazardly or, in some cases, not stored at all. Our Document Organisation Workshop helps participants build a simple, replicable system that they can maintain without specialist tools.

For employers and HR departments, the challenge is communicating benefit information to a workforce that may have varying degrees of familiarity with how these systems work. Our Group Information Programme for Employers gives HR teams a structured approach and the materials they need to explain retirement-related benefits clearly, consistently, and without making promises or interpretations that fall outside their role.

Goldyears is based at 58 Wireless Road in Lumphini, Bangkok — a central, easily accessible location for participants travelling from across the city. We hold morning and afternoon sessions depending on the workshop type and group size. For employer group programmes, we are also able to deliver on-site at the client's Bangkok premises.
